About the event

Join Becky Hardy for a series of citizen science events. She will guide you on a walk to count the butterfly species seen as well as share information about them. We will walk approximately two miles on a mostly sun-exposed trail.

Warning: During the summer months, the temperature can reach 100 degrees or more. Be prepared. You must have water or an electrolyte drink and wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes to participate. The trail location or the duration of the walk may change if the temperature reaches 100 degrees or more. Safety is our priority!

Hydration and closed-toed, sturdy shoes are required. Bring the usual: binoculars, hat, sunscreen, snack and camera (if preferred).

A State Park pass or a $10 entry fee is required to enter the park. Carpooling is recommended. Rain will cancel the event. Meet at the White Cliff trailhead. A vault toilet is available.

This event is open to everyone!
