About the event
BENA is pleased to announce Kim Pegram, PhD., Program Director of Pollinator Conservation and Research at the Desert Botanical Garden (the Garden) in Phoenix, is our guest speaker. Kim will share when and where we can expect to find monarch butterflies in Arizona.
In 2022, the Garden and the USA Phenology Network partnered to create a community science project named Desert Refuge. Desert Refuge was created to help both organizations track monarchs and answer some key questions. Kim will share their findings so far and how you can participate in the project.
