About the event

Join Becky Hardy for a series of citizen science events. She will guide you on a walk to count the butterfly species seen as well as share information about them. We will walk approximately two miles on a mostly sun-exposed trail.

Warning: During the summer months, the temperature can reach 100 degrees or more. Safety is our priority! If you do not have any water or an electrolyte drink and are not wearing sturdy shoes, for your safety, we will have to regretfully decline your participation. Butterfly Enthusiasts of Northern Arizona also reserves the right to change the trail location of the walk and/or cancel the walk entirely if the temperature reaches 100 degrees or more.

Hydration and closed-toed, sturdy shoes are required in order to participate. Bring the usual: binoculars, hat, sunscreen, snack and camera (if preferred).

A State Park pass or a $10 entry fee is required to…
