About the event

Learn about, photograph, and help tag a Monarch butterfly on this field trip to Southern Arizona, a 3-hour drive from Scottsdale.

Sponsored by Butterfly Wonderland, their very own Director of Education, Adriane Hopkins, will lead this workshop. Join Adriane as you learn about why it is important to tag monarch butterflies. You will also see other Arizona butterfly species in a beautiful setting, near Sonoita (Highway 83).

Bring hiking boots, hat, sunscreen, long pants, water, fully charged phone/camera and a sack lunch. No prior experience is necessary. This event is geared toward adults, however children ages 12 and above, with an interest in nature are welcome. There will be a 30-minute lecture before the tagging demo begins.
