About the event
Join Dr. Paul Tuskes, and wildlife biologist, Janie Agyagos for this special evening field trip to go mothing! This is a special opportunity to observe and learn about our night-time pollinators, moths, and other invertebrates that only come out after dark.
Arrive at the park at 8 p.m. After parking, follow your way to the edge of the river. Lights will be on where Dr. Tuskes and Janie will be setting up for the evening. As they set-up they will explain the set-up process to attract moths and other night-time invertebrates. After set-up, the fun begins as the moths and other invertebrates are attracted to the light and land on the sheet. The darker it gets, the more moths are attracted to the light. As they land on the sheet, Dr. Tuskes and Janie will share information about the species seen.
Recommended to bring: a headlamp or flashlight, bug spray,…
