About the event
Join Butterfly Enthusiasts of Northern Arizona (BENA) and the Desert Botanical Gardens (DBG) for a special field trip to learn about how our two organizations , and technology, are helping monarch butterflies.
Meet at Lowell Observatory's Perkins Telescope at Marshall Lake, SE of Flagstaff. BENA and DBG will both share how their projects are using technology to help monarchs. Monarchs will most likely be present at the meeting location, along with other high elevation butterfly species.
Monarch butterflies can be tagged with a radio tag? You bet! Join us to learn more about this newer technology and the impact BENA is making in our region to help with the conservation of monarchs.
Interested in helping the monarch butterfly? Then you don't want to miss the opportunity to hear about how you can help monarchs and DBG track milkweed species and monarchs using their community science technology.
