Time & Location

Page Springs Fish Hatchery Visitor Cente, 1600 N Page Springs Rd, Cornville, AZ 86325, USA
About the event
Join Denise Gibbs, Monarch Conservation Specialist for Monarch Watch, for a talk and hands-on workshop. Native milkweeds are easy to grow and benefit many pollinators. Find out where to purchase pesticide-free native milkweed plants and learn the best ways to collect & propagate milkweed seeds.
Participants will make milkweed seed-balls to take home. Then we’ll caravan 5 minutes to the Bubbling Ponds parking lot. Along the adjacent fence line, participants will plant (heel-in method) prepared seed-balls of fall-blooming nectar plants to nourish Monarchs on their Fall southward migration.
Meet at the Monarch Waystation at Page Springs Fish Hatchery Visitor Center. Restrooms on-site. Bring a folding chair.
Limited to 15 participants. RSVP to Monarchtagger@gmail.com.
